Transitioning Question-- Almost 8 months without a relaxer?

I know its hard but you have to cut all the dead off in order for it to look healthy....thats what my hairdresser told me AFTER she took like 4 inches off my hair when I went in for a TRIM...but my hair looked better I have to admit. Its just scary...
