Why do girls with boyfriends go to clubs or frat parties without their boyfriends?

I just dont understand...at these events, you should expect guys to flirt with you...I mean I understand that it is fun to dress up and go out dancing...but like there are other venues to go dancing in where you would not get hit on...a great example is a gay club or salsa dancing event
