KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE?

i am running on an g4 imac and i am having problems with my firefox browser it will not open have tried un-installing and re-installing even that does not work, in the firefox crash log i am getting the above message and as i am not up on comps. very much i have no idea what it means could someone please explain it may help me to understand or poss fix problem, thanks
